When it's offshore in Sydney, do many people just do a downwinder to Kurnell and walk home? Is this a stupid idea?
Hey Dutchy
Definately Not a good Idea remember your still a noob who is unsure of what a old 14m Nemesis kite will do to you
!!
Be patient, get that allrounder kite & wait for quality conditions... you'll learn faster by taking just one step forward
instead of 10 backwards ![]()
Offshore Downwinders should only be done in a CONTROLLED group with an emergency rescue plan - just ask that Pommie bushwalker idiot
Unfortunately it was the 'Dorkter' below who said 'fark yeah she'll be right...
'
Keep it safe - cheers
don't listen to that soft cook pussy above me,
i say go for it...
unlike that pommy dork who got lost in thick as fark blue mountains bush,
you can pretty much see from one side of the bay to the other,
if you really into taking unnesassary precautions, call coast gaurd and tell em of your plans, that way if you don't check back in, at least you give them something to do other than spend all day fishin
Yes, it's a stupid idea in a westery to kite on the Ramsgate side.
You can kite safely to Kurnell in a nor-easter since it is cross-shore, many people do. But going down wind in a westerlies to Kurnell is dangerous.
Why not drive to Kurnell and kite safely over there with other people. Save yourself the trouble of drowning in the middle of the bay.
