I have stock pumps with all my kites, but I once borrowed a friends pump from his Slingshot kite. It was a blue/white logo'd pump and it looked actually smaller than mine (the normal yellow pumps). Boy this little pump really pumped! I pumped my Cab 14mtr in like 40 pumps, yet my yellow pump took like nearly twice that!

Is there a really good pump out there that can pump up kites fast!?

Ozone pump seems to be good and I haven't broken one yet. Bit bigger than the SS pump as well so it's slightly better on the back.

... I agree, had 2 brand new North pumps stolen and someone left an Ozone pump behind, looked like it had been around the block a few times but damn that thing works great and its lasted more than 10 seconds like the North pumps, i.e 10 months later its still going strong.

Yeh used ozone pumps way before I rode ozone kites...I rate them.

Funny hey we still haven't come up with a very simple, reasonable, sensible method of pumping a kite up, if forced to do it in-situ on the beach.

There are options of course but they all kind of have some drawbacks etc..

Well nothing has jumped out at me and said yeh that's easier and better than a normal pump. Thought the ozito would be great, but alas it's crapola.

Anything thats like the ozito is going to fail quickly and anything more heavy duty I think would be too heavy to take down on the beach.
Batteries are too bloody heavy

Yeh agreed that's what I meant. I've seen some strange bloody contraptions out there. Probably easiest is the car compressor, but not all of us can pump our kites up next to the car!

Why they don't make a foot pump just like for cars but bigger? Much bigger.

A bit of aluminium and the rest plastic...With some foot strap when you go up with your foot, as we need a double action pump.

Would that work?

Legs are stronge than arms and shoulders. Just need the capacity levered so the downstroke activates a plunger inside a suitable sealed cavity. Come on engineers !

Or even a double peddled one like a double kick drum. Look hell kooky but we are a weird bunch of wind driven addicts anyway.

still pumping my 2013 kites with a 2009 ozone pump, give them a wipe clean in the drum then a spray of silicone spray every couple of months, the liquid force inflation looks the go if you want quick inflation, ive seen a guy inflate a 10 mtr in just over 10 seconds,

Yeh noticed that with the NRG then the valve closes off real quick. Freaked me out! Then I couldn't deflate it had to ask my buddy how. How embarrassing. Hey cauncy reckon you'd like the NRG.

Love Ozone kites but pumps not so much.

The pressure gauge got destroyed when it fell on GRASS and the bottom cap thingy keeps popping off when the kite is about filled up, I use it as a make-shift pressure gauge.

You reckon??? Go buy one and then get back to us... Most useless kite gimmick in a while I would say, up there with the "fast track" in boards.
