Hi everyone. Ive just brought a north vegas 2009 9m and 12m. I got them cheap. I got told that they would be a good kite. But since then I've heard that they are difficult to fly. I have been kiting for about 6 months. And i would really like some advice on what to do with them whether i should try them or sell them again...
Thanks ![]()
they are great kites, try them first, just remember they are c kites they will be more responsive through the bar, its important they are trimmed right and the relaunch is slightly different. so get someone who knows to show you. I have a friend who has been kiting for just under 1 year and went from the rebel to the 09 vegas and loves them, loves them so much he has bought more. Im sure you will learn to truly appreciate these kites.
give them a go.
They're a good kite,
put the lines on the rear connection points if you are " oversteering " , you will get better relaunch, constant pull, put the front forward if you want more depower ( bowish ) feel, lower bar pressure, faster turn...
If you find you are getting spanked because the kite is not where you want it to be - go for the rear settings to slow it down.
hope this helps
A friend converted me to the Vegas, then I tried them on the PR tour, and I went out and bought a 9m and 12m 2010 models, and I love them. Great Kites.
This review should put your mind at ease: http://www.sbckiteboard.com/2009_kite_reviews?news_id=754&uniqid=1516
What I would be interested to know is who told you, or how much experience had the person that told you they weren't any good. I would be dubious of any opinion that your not paying for, and remember it is only and opinion.
I found it hard to get alot of info on 2010 Vegas, and there doesn't seem to be much on the forums about the 2009 Vegas, as I gather they don't need as much tuning as the rebels so they don't need to be talked about that much.
Just get out and do it. Give yourself a few sessions to get your timing etc, and enjoy.
