Hi,
Just wanted to hear if anyone had any advice/ similar experiences with North Warranty.
I bought a North Nugget from a shop in December, which is a couple of hundred km away.
I have always ridden this board strapless. It has never hit reef.
I've noticed recently that there are a couple of cracks which have developed on the upper inner rail of the board, where it concaves inwards, no nearby dents or scrapes and a small delamination (not sure if paint or one lamination of glass) on the underside, approx size of a 50c piece.
North have agreed that I can get the de-lamination fixed and invoiced to the dealer. They believe the upper rail cracks are a normal part of wear.
I'm going to get the board to a reputable repairer for an assessment.
My concern is that the repair is not going to restore the finish to the same quality. With major repainting required to colour match.
Would appreciate your thoughts and advice please.
1. ride the thing till it breaks.
2. cry that you broke your expensive board.
3. buy standard surfboard.
4. kite better.
5. post stoke thread on seabreeze.
