Hi Andy,

Great someone provides some info.
One correction- it is Yorkeys Knob (not Yorkies Knob).

Cheers

Looks great. It would be good if you could get up some pictures of the individual spots themselves.

Nice work Andy. You are a real asset to Seabreeze!

(the only suggestion I would make is to maybe highlight the powerlines on the pallas map (for those that can't read))

BTW, I took the 5m out with my eldest boy today. Very happy with the kite, self launch & land is a sinch, turns on a dime.
Had some fun in the 20-25 winds this arvo.

Thanks for the feedback fellas.

Not a big deal - I had the images sitting around, pretty easy to wrap them into html and add some text, if it makes life easier for someone else and safer for the travellers then it is time well spent.

Saffer, I take it you mean pics of crew riding the spots as opposed to aerial shots? Or do you mean shots of the "Townsville region" spots?

The first should be pretty easy, I'll have a dig through the stuff already on seabreeze. We don't have many of Magnetic Island, but I know there is plenty of Yorkies, Palla, Lizard.

The second I can grab off GE if they have a hi-res satellite pass feeding into the system - I'll have a look.

Skid, glad you are happy with the SB 5 - its a good little kite for sure. Look forward to getting the boys together at some stage. My son is going upwind now and riding without falling so we've reached that nice point of being able to session together.

At Lizard at the moment - spare a thought for us, its grey, cold and the wind is averaging 32-33knots and gusting to 40! Howling, and ripping the tops off the waves. **** to work in. Didn't bring the 6m unfortunately!! Luke and the boys from kite action are here on Undersea Explorer and I saw them riding yesterday, so no doubt they will have tales to tell......I think they brought quivers of 8/9/10m kites so they too are going to be over-done.

Hi Andy
How about Cooktown?
An aerial shot of Walkers Bay and the lagoon at low tide in front of the Annan River
mouth
Our wind speeds average 5 to 10kn more than the Cairns coast-same as Cape Flattery and similar to to Lizard but more gusty
With only a couple of local kiters and windsurfers in town we welcome tourists
You will need a 4wd but there is free bush camping on the beach

Cowbuoy, no problems, Google earth has some decent hi-res images of the spots you mention.

You want to write me some text to go with it, along the lines of what we have for the other spots? thanks!

grab my email from the "contact" section of the web pages that have the kite spots.

Would be nice to add the Port Douglas and Mackay info too, if anyone feels inclined to write about those places??

Lizard has calmed down to 25-30kn today and the sun actually came out for a while, it was a beautiful sight at midday with about 10 kites ripping up the lagoon!
