I recently bought a used North Jaime Pro 2007 which was the "large" size - dimensions 131 x 40, suitable for heavier riders. I'm not a heavy guy - 78kg ready to ride, but it seems now that same size board for 2008 & 2009 is called the "medium" size, suitable for my weight. What has changed? Is everyone using bigger boards now than they were a couple of years ago?

I'm assuming that the board is the right size for me, given it is row the "medium" size? Is this correct?

Hi Flat water,

The 131 is now a 132 and there is a 135 and also 137. The two larger sizes are for heavier riders and lighter winds.

At 78 kilo's you'll be ok on the 131 as an experienced rider, as a learner, it's probably a little on the small side but you'll grow into it.

Enjoy!

Thanks KH. No need to beef up to suit the board then
