The Gambler is the one i like to ride with boots, the size is always something difficult to choose.
So my weight is 68kg's and there is also alot of difference in weight (500grams) between these 2 sizes:
Length: 136cm
Width: 41.0cm
Weight: 2.4kg
and
Length: 139cm
Width: 42.0cm
Weight: 2.9kg
What size should fit me, i think the 139x42 is gonna be a bit big for me is it ?
Maybe i should wait for the 2014 Gambler , anyone knows when they normally come out ?
If it was me, i would definately go the 136.
Im 60kg and i ride a 132cm Airush livewire with boots (biggest kite is also 9m).
I generally recommend choosing you board size based on your height as well, i would say you want the board to be around your armpit/bottom of shoulder when standing upright.

I'm all up for going large with boards, especially when it comes to boots... I think going slightly bigger means more watertime and enjoyment out there. At your weight however I reckon you'll get away with the 136 Gambler as it doesn't quite have as aggressive a rocker as say the Naish Dub. I'm not that tall 178cm, i just like lightweight boards because you can throw the board around very easy.
136 is what i prefer and maybe i can try the board first, my biggest kite is 11m and can get the 9m C4 going from 17knots.

Hi Kitestyler. If you are going for the gambler, 136 is probably about the rite size, do try not to get caught up in the hype of having a light weight board though. Once you have bindings on you will not notice the difference between the lightest board and the heaviest. There are some that recon the extra weight helps with some moves.
I found the gambler a quite a soft board, and this may help you as a lightweight. Of course it all comes down to personal preference, but for me I prefer a stiffer board and a bit shorter.
If possible try to demo as many boards as you can with your bindings. One board you may also want to try, if you are not too hung up on weight, is the Tona Pop 133.
Already tried the Tona but i find it too heavy for me but it is a very good board indeed there's no doubt.
I just like a lightweight board and i won't be hitting kickers or sliders, just like to shred and get some fast and powered rotations.
What about the North 2014 boards, someone knows when they come out i can wait a couple months if there are big changes in the gambler board.
I would not get this years gambler. If you can afford the team go for a 136 teAm. Stronger, lighter and stiffer. Shape is the same.
Team with boots ?
I'm reading the completely opposite for the Gambler that is more Wakestyle and stiffer/reinforced for riding on boots.
I had both 2013 boards, 134 team with straps and 139 gambler with boots - disclaimer; i'm no pro.
The team is HEAPS quicker, it's got a shedload of pop & is generally an ace freestyle board. It's super light, goes up wind like a rocket, gets on the plane super early and is really lively.
The Gambler has much more rocker compared to the Team and a more rounded outline with the same channels on the bottom. On the water, it felt smoother through the chop and generally a bit comfier on the landings. It's also a little wider for its length (137x41 team VS 139x42 Gambler) compared to the team. But, it felt a little slower.
It all depends on how you want to ride. Keep in mind if you're not hitting obstacles, want light weight and epic pop, you'll be super stoked on the Team. Off the top of my head, at the last PKRA every North team rider except one were riding the Team with boots.
