Mick, north of Norah Head, it's really just one big long beach like Redhead to Blacksmiths. It's kiteable from Lake's beach in the south to Birdie beach at the north. South is better for NNE, notrth better for ENE.

I haven't stayed there, but Budgewoi caravan park is about in the middle.

I haven't tried the beaches to the south of Norah Head, which are SE facing.

Have a good time!

I definitely recommend staying in Norah Head caravan park. They have a either camp grounds or nice budget accommodation available. They are right on the beach (soldiers beach) and they also have a handy bowling club on campus for a few sherberts. I don't have their number on me but if you do a search they have a website.

Sorry I forgot to mention - whenever I was there I drove to the Entrance for kiting, as it's only 5 / 10 minutes away and they have plenty of spots to choose from.
