Hi guys, looking for advise on what size to order - 30 or 32" Nitrous shorts.
I'm 31" & use a small Dakine waist harness - medium is way too big..
Also can you order just the shorts, I have a couple of Dakine spreader bars already. ?

Cheers, Top

They are big for their size. Go the 30

Hey, thanks lostatsea - just looking through some old posts on KF there saying to go a size up ?
Doesn't seem to be much stock around to get to try one on.

Naish came out with a board short harness this year, it's the Targa. I have a handful of sessions with mine and it's pretty good, almost as good as the Liquid Force one but not quite. (Couldn't find a replacement as they stopped making them.) I can throw together a quick review with some pics when I put more hours on it.

Nevermind, abort! abort! Just inspected my Targa and it's already coming apart inside, only about 4 sessions on it. I'll see how long it lasts... so what size Nitrous should someone with a 32" waist get? Although, I do wear 33" boardshorts sometimes depending on the brand/style. S**t, kinda bummed out now, not wanting to go drop more cash already.

I'm size 31 and have size 32 Dakine shorts, they fit well.
Dont go down to 30.
Unless you like tight shorts

I think cauntcy is the only one here with a tight short fetish.

Thanks for the replys, I'll go 32"

im a 40" (cough cough fat basttard) in regular boardies and have had a few pairs over the years of the 38" nitrous and found they have always were spot on for me with room for a couple more pies

summing up
* i find they dont last as long as a normal seat harness
* you have to wear boxers to stop chaffing from the internal straps incase sand gets inbetween strap and skin
* cheaper than most seat harness, about $229 i think
* ****es over any seat harness for comfort
* spreader cannot dig into your chest

i swap between a waist harness and seat regularly but since i got a pair of the 2016 model nitrous few months ago i have been in them more than the waist harness they also appear to be holding up better than previous years

Thanks for the info lostatsea, I've never wore a seat harness only a waist.(so about 10 years in a waist)
Whats the difference in feel, any negatives ?
Should bring the bar closer, so that's a plus.

Liquid Force, anybody tried them?
I do like the look of them.

I'm off the nitrous idea, not as good as a waist in the surf apparently.
BTW, got a great action pic of cauncy today.
