That must be one consistant breeze, and frigging hard long climb, would have taken ages and strong nerves not an easy climb either.

The Seli (ship), ran aground a few years ago whilst I was living down the road from this spot. Too $$$ to remove, so it just sat there. NJ scaled and climbed it for the 1st time over a year ago when it was still in one piece. It split into several pieces in the last winter storms off the cape and is now a bloomin' heap of rusted, jagged junk. I thought he was mad the first time around! I've kited around it often enough, but to climb it....! Margin for error is very small indeed.

But yep, the Cape Dr south easterly winds are awesome in Cape Town summers. They begin early in the day and get consistently stronger throughout the day. I miss it like hell
