When the selection committee met, we also recognised that of 200 names, only 5 women had nominated for the event so those 5 women were automatically granted a place in the event.



So if the women got in automatically, Why didnt the grom automatically get in?

A number of SB posters have asked about the L2L selection criteria & the process used to select participants. As WAKSA President this season, I take responsibility for the criteria chosen and the selection process that was used for the event.


Great first run of the event and looks like the learnings will make next year's even better!

Just a thought. If any "random" selection criteria are going to be used, how about tilting the odds in favour of long time WAKSA members?

So if you are drawing names from a bucket (hat, barrel, keg etc.) each person gets one entry per year they have been a WAKSA member.

PS: Not WAKSA bashing
