Hi all.
I'll be up in newy next weekend and it would be a shame to waste wind.
Just wondering where people go. I've seen kiters up near the north end of a beach (not sure what it's called but it has a light house).
Just wondering where any other spots are and where would be good for the wind this weekend coming.

Nobbies, (where the lighthouse is) and over on the other side at Stockton....that should keep you going. There are quite a few spots that way, those are just two easy access places.

If it's coming from the south or west then on the lake at warners bay near the co-op is good.

Cheers guys. I'll most likely be out on Saturday so if you see a guy trying to break his kite it's probably me.

Ya gunna have trouble finding that mate.
just stay well away from Dixon Park, it's terrible there, & very dangerous! and the girls on the beach are unfriendly as well!

I'm headin up that way for a weekend in april,

When people say the lighthouse, are they talking about that whole beach, or the little section right in front of the lighthouse near the breakwall (northern end)?
Can your drive up to the lighthhouse, or do you have to walk up from nobbys rd?

And what about horseshoe beach?

And is all the hype about sharks real over the stockton side?

Im thinking in front of the stockon van park looks ok?

Thanks

I agree with Col, very dangerous at Dixon, only a few months ago I had to help a guy that had a huge gash in his leg, looked like his knee cap was going to fall out, he was rushed to hospital.

And the girls he speaks off, they are scary

As for sharks, they have an affect on grown men which makes them use bad language

A 5m shark and his mates have been calling Newcastle home for over a month now
