hey guys
i know I am going to open a can of worms.
So a few years ago I used to buy a new kite every season, ah the joys of being single with no mortgage. However, now with a wife, a mortgage and a baby I have not had a new kite since 2011. My 2011 has been over worked and I am looking for a replacement 9 for the WA summer.
In in terms of style I'm a jack of all trades master of none. I enjoy a jumping session as much as a good session in the waves but as much as I try to ignore it I spend a lot of time mowing the lawn, grateful for any time out on the water.
Previously I have loved north rebels, I am so out of touch with kite developments since 2011. I have about $1000 to spend on a second hand kite including bar. Whats good what's not.
thanks
It might be a bit new to get to your budget, but the Ozone Enduros have three "settings" that suit waves, freeride and freestyle. It won't be as good as a specialist kite (Reo for waves for instance) but it does provide flexibility and it only takes a minute to change settings. Have been using mine for a few months and they really are a good all round kite.
Naish pivot
I love mine ( I'm not a sponno/ shop guy I wish!!) great at jumping good in waves, great wind range - great at making the most of any condition- light and patchy - strong and gusty and everything in between
Would love to try an enduring though
