Has anyone had black dye marks on their white kite panels? My new kite 2010 stock has this. Any idea on how to remove them. Think the kite must have been packed too early after manufacture. I have heard it is quite common.

chuck it in the washing machine with a whole 2lt bottle of bleach and half a bottle of NappieSan. It might come out in pieces but it will be glowing white :)

Just use it after a couple of months of droping it in the ocean it will all fade off in time .

If you bought this new from a shop take it back. They should offer either to remove the dye marks or replace the kite. Thats the least the shop should do.

Hi,

it happens with a few brands/kites usually from the colors in the Dacron!
MAKE SURE YOU PUT AWAY YOUR KITE FULLY DRY AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF SESSIONS. Then afterwards it will not be an issue.

Most brands will not warranty the discolorizations.

If the stains are red then it is blood from kiting between the flags at Manly.
