Hey guys,

I have recently moved to Hervey Bay and made promise to my self to learn kitesurfing when I was treveling in Morocco...and finally I have found place/time to do it. But as I am new to this sport and town I am looking for tutor or somone who don't mind wannabe hanging around!!:)

Hope to hear from you soon,
Baiba

Hi Baiba. Welcome to the bay. The only local instructor is Enzo, if you were after actual lessons. I'd recommend spending a few dollars on sorting out the basics and safety issues with a few lessons. If you were just wanting to connect at this stage and find out more about the sport etc, then feel free to make yourself known to the small crew of kiters down at the pier any time it blows. If you're on facebook, search Hervey Bay Kiteboarders to find a page I recently started up. I'll send you a pm.

I was in the Bay for xmas/new year. Spent many sessions with northerlies on a nice long stretch of beach that I had all to myself

Had one session at the pier with a SE, everyone seems friendly, good outing.

My folks live there, be back soon.
