Hi everyone!

After my last build and feedback from the community (thanks to Damo, Robbie, Tom, Darwin crew, Melbourne crew and everyone I've forgotten:), the new board is here!

Here is the twist. Foot straps can be reversed to both side and fins can be moved or added.

When reversed the stance is slightly different and that's exactly what I wanted.

Mirror shine, sprayed one part varnish:

Weight 2767g before accessories:

Rails tapered at 45 degrees:

Added foam:

Carbon top sheet:

Rocker comparing with Nobile 555:

Much stiffer, not wobbly board like my original Shinai:

The board is made of bamboo and divinycell. It is 137x40.5cm, concave 3mm, rocker about 3cm (straight 1/3)...

It's on display at SOS in Fremantle. Thanks John!

And can't wait to build the next one:)

Cheers

D.

wow. that is very professional. what thickness bamboo? 5mm? what thickness foam? are the second lot of plugs for different fin placement.

PS i'm feeling left behind with my lack of kiteboard building of late. I guess to be fair i've been building landboard and now another longboard skateboard for my oldest daughter.

yeah the board looks great, I think I saw it the other day

Some talent coming out of the "Woodwork" and always nice to see a homemade board that will always be one up on everything else - because of the patience, research and dedication to have it end up like the pics

Well done
