Hi Guys
I'm going to buy a new surf board for kiting with straps that can be removed to ride strapless as well. I've been kiting for about 9 years now and wanted to get peoples opinons as to what the best board for ripping the waves up. I've been riding a Naish Sky Pirate toeside for years and love that board but I put my heel throught the deck on Saturday after landing powerd up and cracked the deck.
Your thoughts would be appreciated on the best and toughest board out there.
Cheers

Get a CUSTOM Made STONE , from Geraldton .
He will make it exactly to suit you and it will be the best cos its made for you!
I did and i love it.
Thanks STONEY.
I am looking for a lightwind board, something like a fish or quad fin. I am considering buying a mass produced cheapy from a surf shop and doubling up on the fibreglass and maybe laying down a carbon fibre deck pad. If need be inserting some fcs plugs for a quad setup.
Has anybody tried this before, I have shaped and glassed a couple of boards before so the techincal side is not a problem? The other option is maybe the new Airrush choptop or something on similar lines.
Cheers
Rich
Another thing,
The shops should offer more demo'ing on the weekends for boards and kites. I know you can go into them and book a demo but often that is impossible during the week and over the weekend not always guaranteed to get to use it.
They should come down with their latest gear and let the guys try it out. Similar to a kitestock approach.
Cheers
Rich
I took an Underground Freewave 5'8" for a spin at Mambo one afternoon, haven't had so much fun in ages! I can't imagine a tougher board, good luck putting your heel through one, and they're fantastic for learning strapless with the full deck grip and raised rails. They don't have the buoyancy of a regular surfboard though, which has pro's and cons. Anyway, I want one. But I'd also have a regular surfboard. Currently looking for a cheap beaten up grommet board 5'10" to 6'...
I've got a couple of epoxy kite surfboards, Rocketfish and Naish wave, they do the job well.
Hey mate
The Airush converse and choptop are awsome mate, everytime i get on 1 i instantly get a smile across my face
Darren has both boards call him and go for a ride on them! they are wickid boards!!!!!![]()
I don't understand Tobes, how many surfboards does a person need?
Or are we back to the "he who dies with the most toys wins" I've been trying to avoid that mistake with kitesurfing. Spent half of each session chosing which gear to use when I was windsurfing.
6 is a perfectly reasonable amount. ![]()
But seriously, I think a small kite surfboard for powered wave stuff strapped/unstrapped and a larger regular surfboard would be the go.
you could also try d.a.lewy craft o/park bit closer than gero
they do custom esp, straps or strapless![]()
