I like this quote from someone on kiteforum.

quote:
You should really turn it around ... let's say that the initial kite were bow kites ... everyone on bow kites ... and than the C-shape kite came along ...
let's see what the marketing slogan would be ?

LESS DEPOWER,
AMAZING HIGH JUMPS
NEED MORE SKILL TO EDGE
NO ON OFF POWER
MORE EXCITING CAUSE MORE DANGEROUS
LESS RANGE, YOU NEED MORE KITES SO YOU CAN FLY A DIFFERENT COLOUR IN EACH WINDSPEED
...

Maybe it's a little over the top what I just said .. but really just turn it for yourself around ... if everyone always kited on bow kites and the C-kite just came along in 06 .. would someone buy it ?

Having flown the Cabrinha and the Airush Bow kites I would definately go for my 2005 Reactor 9 and 12. No doubt about it.
A lot of the hype about the bow kites is coming from people that have been flying very average kites to start with.

It is amazing how few people actually realise that there are a number of stand out kites out on the water now, fly a Reactor or a Lift.

In Australia in 2006 we are ordering significantly more Pilots, Flows, Lifts and Reactors than Bow Kites.
