Hey everyone, I need to replace the depower rope on my 2010 naish helix, it has almost warn through at the safety release.

I have measured the dyneema rope to be 6mm in thickness... does this sound right?

Cheers.

Sounds about right to me.
Just a word of warning though, i've replaced the depower rope on my 2008/09 Naish kites and had a bit of trouble with the cleat not gripping the new rope. If you don't mind coughing up the ~$50 for the replacement rope it's money well spent if you just want the easy way out.

If you just buy a piece of same diameter case-less rope (or any rope) from a yacht chandlery it will have a wax finish from the factory. Soak in warm soapy water and rinse well and it should get rid of the wax and stop rope from slipping in the cleat.
