How big are you? Kgs, feet?

I wouldn't go down to a 134 unless you are small. 136 is the minimum size I would recommend for freestyle/wake for anyone unless you are a small grom or similar.
It is true that if the board is wide it will still ride ok, but the length factor when riding wakestyle is more to do with clean takeoffs and landings than increasing overall bouancy or surface area.

Yeah thats what i thought, But explain the new Naish line, not looking at buying one, just intrigued by shorter boards as a concept? If they only make up to max size: 134

How will the team go on it?

Edit: I guess team riders will ride the DUB, bit confusing which was the wakestyle board:

Sizes: 132×41, 134×42, 136×43, 138×43

Yeah I think they will be riding the Dub as a replacement for the Arcade.

I haven't ridden the board personally, but on sheer looks and feel on the beach I think they have gone somewhat backwards (in regards to wakestyle performance).

I used to have a slingy sx 122 as my first board, a lot of guys would remember boards this lengths from around 2005. Gotta laugh when this is what was recommended by my instructor lol..

Hey Guys,
just to clear a little bit up, this is the initial release from Naish for the 2014 season, we expect to see a few more sizes come into the range mid year. The bigger Dub, which replaces the Arcade as the wake style board has already been added since the first teaser pics went out and more boards will come.
The boards are pretty cool, in regards to the Dub, a very similar profile under the hull with a completely new core and deck have shed a bunch of weight without sacrificing the things that made the Arcade such a good wake board.

As for the 134 size in the Monarch, personally I (105kg, 6'1) am stinging to try this board, I have been riding the Money 133 for two seasons now (by choice, it was the best board in the range and I tested every 2012 Naish twintip board in almost every size when they first came out). It does take some power to get it going but as long as I am riding comfortably powered I am super happy on that size. If Im underpowered I would rather be on a Skater or Alaia anyway.

Is Naish marketing really that dumb, to market the replacement for the Arcade as a Freeride/ Freestyle board. These are terms that immediately put off anyone looking for a wakestyle board.

I used to ride a 118cm... I remember some guys from NZ (torrin Marc) used to ride 110's.
I even rode the 118 with boots at one point when I had nothing else left to break. But I always remember that day I got a 136 with some rocker, it pretty much changed my life! hahaha.
