Does any one know where I might be able to find some fitting instructions for a light wind relaunch line ? I found a few snippets on Kiteforum.com but it doesn't tell me how to fit it to the bar. My local guy reckons he will help me with it , but I would like to go armed with a bit of knowledge . The kite is a 2013/14 , 14 metre draft with a naish base bar and lines . I have tried the Naish site , but no joy there !

Take into your nearest North dealer and trade it on a new 15m Juice. Best and easiest option.

Funny you say that ! It was my nearest North dealer that sold it to me in the first place!

It is a very easy kit to fit.
You have purchased the optional light wind relaunch line/kit haven't you?
Essentially this kit is a second back line that runs parallel to one of the existing backlines and pulls on a greater area of the canopy when needed for relaunch. As it is on elastic it carries no load until needed.

First locate the light wind pigtail (yellow) in the neo pocket on the kite. Feed this through the loop on the rear pigtail (pretty sure this is on the grey/blue side?), through the tensioning ring (small plastic ring on bungee) and larks head it to the attachment point at the rear end of the s2 strut.
This means your kite now has 5 pigtails.
Next run out your lines and the light wind line. Feed the light wind line onto the flying line by passing the flying line through the loops on the light wind line (this isn't essential, but does keep the system neater).
Finally pull the bar float up feed the yellow down through it and larks head the bottom of the light wind relaunch line to the same knot as your back line is attached to. Slide the bar float back down and you are done. You should have two even length back lines on one side now (may need the included extension from the kit if you are on 24's).
Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Bomber ! You should get a job with Naish kites ! Because you certainly explained it way better than they did ! Much obliged !

I couldn't see this option being part of the initial design, id say its been a fix for a bad relaunching kite

Absolutely correct ! Got the proverbial black eyes to prove it ! If you are a competent experienced rider that doesn't drop his kite then it's probably the kite for you . But if you are in your first year of learning to kite with zero kite/ board prior experience then prepare for a world of hurt . This kite is hard to relaunch at the best of times let alone in deep water . I have had to aquire the LWR just to get some use out of a very expensive miscalculation on my part .

Well ! Fitted the LWR today, thanks to guidance from "A Bomber " ( cheers for that mate ! )
Pretty easy once you know what your looking at , wind was pretty s$&t so I just did the job at a local park . Gave it a few launches , and what a difference it makes , launches as well as a switchy now but only to the left . Bit of a problem with the line length though , got 24 m lines , two extensions came with the LWR kit , but I needed to use both of them so there is a spare metre or two of line flapping around the steering line it's attached to . I pulled a bit through the foam floater in the bar and looped it around the bar just trying to take up the slack a bit . LWR works really well but it looks really untidy because of the way it billows off the steering line . Any idea's how to improve this ?

Dude try this method too... Works great once you get the coordination down.
These were crap at relaunch too - problem solved and works on most kites...

No worries on the help.

You said you fitted both extensions?
What length lines do you fly your kite on normally.
From memory the kit was a 20m line, plus 4 and 3m extensions. Could it be that the 3m extension is the extra length you are seeing? Pretty sure draft comes standard on 24's so my guess would be that you only need the 4m extension, not both. If I am wrong then shortening it would be the best bet. I would do this where the 20m meets the first pigtail.

with a V-split. Unless you want to haul in meters of line. Reverse launch works fine on Drafts...

Bomber ! I am running 24 m lines on a standard naish base bar . You are correct about the extensions , 1x 3 m and 1x 4 , I did try the longest one on its own and it was simply too short , so I used them both . Maybe I have done done something wrong, I will go back and revisit it again when I get some time .P.S I can relaunch a kite at the side if the window , but I don't understand what a reverse launch is , can anyone enlighten me ?

I didn't know a North dealer would take trade ins. Or any kite shop for that matter.
