... not a delta...still the sigma shape...

Sigma and Delta together is what I see.
Sigma because of the shape of leading edge.
Delta because the control lines getting connected to corner of leading edge and training edge in one spot and center lines connected to bridals of leading edge.

As you see on the attached photo (C shape) center lines are connected to training edge and control lines are connected to the end of leading edge.

In Delta control lines are connected to training edge and leading edge at the same spot:

It seems like 2010 Helix is a Delta kite

Naish doesn't need to rely on marketing gimmicks!

if the dont need gimmicks what do you call a free 08 board with a 2009 helix

sounds like a gimmick to me

Rhinoman: Thats called clearing old stock, ie. get rid of 08 stock (that is nearly 2 season old) with the current model kite before the current model becomes last season's gear. Chances are you will find it difficult to get a board in the size or style you want.

I'm sure you have heard of end of season sales? That's pretty much standard retail practice, not a marketing gimmick.

I wonder why they don't sell these ones in Australia!?!
We don't pay enough?

They did, but for a hugely exaggerated cost which is bull, because on the dealer order form they were the same price as the standard schemes... Allegedly !!!

If I cut it then I'm not able to use it when I need it "Einstein"

Back in the olden days we had two loops - a chicken loop as per usual and then a smaller one that looked like the one on your core bar, or like the one on the North rebel 08 I had for five minutes. It was attached with velcro and when you didn't want to use it you wrenched it upwards so it was sitting above the bar. This way you didn't accidentally hook into it and DIE. My point is - if you accidentally hook into your fixed loop, then cut it off and replace it with a home-made swivelly one!

I'd do a search for pics on the internet but it was before the internet existed. So. Long. Ago.

I looked into getting one of the limited editions in for a customer.
The cost was going to be a lot more than the standards. Apparently due to out of cycle orders etc

Naish ROCKS and always will, from the AR’s to the Sigma’s. The new toys look sick and I can not wait to get my hands on my third generation Helix! I am sure they will be available before the wind starts blowing again.

As for the Sigma’s, and all the controversy, if they sucked so bad Robbie would scrap the idea and not tone it down. Put your balls on and take out a twelve when everyone else is hanging onto nine’s. That will cure your Sigmaphobia. The bars and lines are simple, safe and reliable, unlike most other “contraptions” I have hooked into.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Older pics but....eh..

Sigma - 2010 kite still retain this shape. It looks as if they have softened the LE a little

Delta - completley different shape.

There maybe some delta influences on the naish kites this year, although i doubt it. Will just have to wait and see.

Either way, they are going to be great kites.

Naish Charger?!!?!
What is that?
Is it coming out in 2010?
No Sigma!
hmmm
It really bugs me that the last place you will see these things is their own website.
They send me all these SUP news that I don't want to know about while they have these things around.

From what I've been told, the Charger is Naish's "delta" style kite.

Look SWEET as all the Naish range.

None of this stuff is officially released yet. A few shops/people have advanced brochures that are not really meant to be put out on the the web yet but when you look at how good some of this gear is i can understand people not been able to keep it to themselves.

how does that make it a good kite, any kite can be depowered to ****s in strong winds and held down with sloppy controls and stuff.. every1 else hanging onto 9s are just smart enough to know 9s boost higher than 12s and in general are sh!tloads more fun to fly thats all.

I really like the old above the bar system they had on the 2007 gear.
It was easy to use and clean below the bar.

The first image of the new Torch and I creamed myself. Its looks rad, especially the tiki on the side of it!

No amount of you posting broken gear will put me off buying Naish gear Spacemonkey. I have had a 2007 Boxer SLE and Sol from new and it has been awesome in terms of durability.

What is your problem with Naish Spacemonkey?, you posted the exact same thing on windsurf n'snows post about the avaliability of naish gear. no matter how strong a kite is, it won't be a match for a reef or trees like those kites you posted. No matter what kite brand people think is the best there will always be pictures of a mangled kites and boards from them.

The brand bitching on the forum has got to stop... Rabble Rabble !!!!
