Hi all, just reposting this with a more descriptive subject as no answers from last post. Maybe the whole coast is always just empty and I'll need to go see myself - like a surf adventure!!!!

::Going to the NSW S coast end of Sept. What's the wind and surf like in that part of the world / time of year? Will be based at Kioloa, driving down / back from Sydney. Any suggestions gratefully received::

Thanks in advance.

Msg me if you don't want to broadcast your fav spot. I can keep a secret.

i have never kited down that way. but if you google earth and have a look you will see the beaches face some pretty extreme directions which should offer you some kiting.. however aug sept is kinda renouned for howling westerlies wich are kinda offshore. souwester should be ok. but if you surf i can tell there are some insane point and beach breaks( dare i say some of the best in aus) along that strech of coast. bawley point just nth of there goes off.. and slightly more north GREEN ISLAND. has given me some of the best waves of my life..summing up: the beaches are beautiful theres wind and surf so take you kite.

Green island is perfect because there are four surfable spots so whatever direction the swell is, you can find something. Don't like your chances for wind....but you never know. The best thing about Green island is that you paddle out over a reef to get to the break on the southern side of he island (its at the most seaward point...you'll see it if it is working). Anyway, the reef is unbelievably beautiful - with every sea-creature you could ever imagine, all lounging about like supermodels. I see Tobes was good enough to post a picture of a medium swell day there...

That pic looks aaaawesoome! Will take the board but still undecided about the kite so far.... Guess there won't be any snow anymore at the end of Sep? Haha! Always keeping my options open. Will try not to get too turned on by the seacreature supermodels!

Duh! I meant snow in the hills, not the beach. And I forgot to say 'msg me' if you ever come round WA and need some advice. Cheers.

I've had it good up there in sept once. You need a whole lot of SWesters to get it nice up there once the snowfalls are getting fewer.

There's nothing remotely supermodelly up there though...just very shiny people in very shiny outfits.

I meant to say, unless I am up there. Cos I am a supermodel. Supermodelly goodness, like the seacreatures, but with less barnacles. So if you go up to the mountains, you'll see me: I'll be the one with the lettuce leaves.
