Hi everyone,

this is my first post and I hope someone can help me. I have a Rebel 10-2012 and need to change all the lines, but I'm struggling to get information about the right way to set them up and buy a 5 lines set as all what I find are 4 lines sets...can anyone give me a hand with this?? I have a 24mts set of brand new lines, I guess I can use 2 of them as the outer ones... what about the rest??

As you can guess I'm quite new in this...promise to keep learning!

Thank you in advance

North lines are tricky , you have 2 choices , go with genuine north replacement lines , or if you know what you are doing you can make up a new set of custom lines.

the problem is the front lines where they go up and split into 2 , these are all funny lengths , also being a rebel the 5 th line is critical to get right or the kite will fly like a bag of shyt.

i make up my own lines but do not recommend it if you don't know what your doing.

That's fairly apparent.

Thanks Rattlehead for your answer, obviously I wouldn't know what I'm doing...I can just replicate lenghts and the way it is set up now, but still have the issue to cut and get the rest of the lines, (except the outer ones) pigtail sttiched...do you know if there is any information online, tutorial or anything about this matter?? Really cant find anything and being such a popular kite it is so weird such a small info our there...

I'm happy to use 2 of the new lines that I got, 24Mts and with the otther 2 make the 5th one...should I take them to a shop to be cut and stitched? What do you reckon?

Thnks :)

Mate, I had to buy the fifth line separately.
So, buy 4-line set and a fifth line.
Then, If you want the de-power line, this is another separate purchase.

Go to a north dealer - best bet.

They aren't cheap. You could probably get a good second-hand bar for a very similar price.

As suggested , either spring for a genuine set of lines , or look for a good second hand north 5 line bar, try and get a bar that is as new or one with little use , north lines wear out fairly quick .I've flown north kites for 10 years , love the kites , love the bars , hate the lines , I make my own ones up .

I'm surprised no one told you that you should have posted this topic in the Kite surfing general section. You should get more input there , just saying
