Gday all,

Was out kiting yesterday in fairly gusty conditions at Wello (N/W) and my Chicken Loop bracket broke on my 10m Bandit Dos. I had read of this happening and always keep an eye for any cracks but the bit of plastic crap gave no warning as other have found.
This left me wondering how to fix it without using the same faulty part. I haven't had any issues with the quick release unintentionally firing on me so I was happy to keep it.

Here's what I came up with.. simple 50mm stainless ring with two 3mm bits of plate welded either side (im lucky enough to be in the stainless biz) then a 6.5mm hole drilled to take to std bolt and hardware.. plates are slightly offset to give safety max chance of working correctly.
And the bar still floats.

Wont break this ****er =)
