Before anyone tells me this should be in the motorbike forum or wa section I'm urgently looking for advice and know plenty of you guys have bikes as well

Parked my old ducati behind a tradies ute earlier today, come back - ute gone however my bike now has small flecks of white paint or similar on it as pictured - I am gutted and struggling to find any advice on what to do next - any serious help greatly appreciated!!!

Acetone?

Try some water on a rag first, cos it might be just acrylic paint.

If that doesn't work, try some turps next (for enamel) as this won't affect the clear lacquer coating.

WARNING - Acetone will eat through the clear coating.

Worst comes to worst, extra fine cutting compound, then polish with a buffing wheel.

Good Luck

I have had 2 cars oversprayed with white line marking or idiots using paint guns outdoors.

Clay bar is the answer, maguires etc.

Cheers for the tip. I just use Acetone for cleaning off my nailpolish.

Claybar is probably the first place I'd start as well. I'd avoid megiuars stuff though. Dodo do a good bar as do autoglym. I use autoglym clay bars and dodo juice slippery lubricant. Make sure you use the lubricant. Doesnt quiet work the same way when its dry eh

carcareproducts.com.au has a few options but could try repco / autopro. Get onto it asap.

I was concerned and expecting helpful advice along the lines of paint stripper or sandblasting it but its been nice to see a positive and helpful reaction for a change!!!

My car got graffiti-ed. I took it to a repairer and they cleaned the paint off and gave the car a cut and polish for $100. It looked brand new after.

Of course you can and they're so much cheaper and more reliable than women (and that's saying something when it comes to Duc's)

Phew - finally an unhelpful response which assumes I am a moron and have made no attempt to research the subject matter myself before looking to the community for personal recommendations and assistance - I was beginning to worry that sea breeze had lost its way with the other more helpful responses which preceded yours

I’m assuming a couple of things here; the bike paint is oil based 2 pack and the white spatter is water based acrylic. No promises but consider this stuff for a trial as I have used it to remove acrylic off enamel paint and it worked without damaging the enamel (enamel was not as shiny as your bike). I purchased it from a paint shop who should give you some advice on the stuff… personally I like Gorgo’s advice. Good luck.
