Guys I have been kite surfing for 3 years now on a North EVo 8m. never tried another kite. This year and went and bought a 2012 Obsession with a 2010 bar.. i hate the bar because the safety mechanism sucks on it. wanna know if i can use my North bar with this kite. cheers buddy
I use my Core bar on my 7m Best kite from time to time because it has a shorter bar,flys fine, the important thing is that the lines are all the same lenght,eg the power lines and the steering lines are the same,
not sure how it affects the safety system on the North kites 
try activiating the safety system by releasing the kite in LIGHT winds and see what happens,if it flags out and depowers,I think it would be fine
I tired this once out of laziness, pumped up my 12m Blade down the beach but when I went to rig the lines the North ones had the larks head on the opposite lines to the North Bar i was using. I'd say that would be the first thing to check out before you leave for the beach!
