G'day all,
The mrs & I are off on a kitefari leaving Melbourne Thursday PM. Really keen to get to some speed & flat water spots. Not too sure about where to go. To the east is preferred, lakes entrance & southern nsw. Any ideas/tips appreciated especially sandy point for Friday!
Many thanks

If you have a 4wd there are some pretty sick secret spots around lakes entrance with super flat knee deep water.

Second that !! We have just started up a 'Gippsland Kiteboarders' facebook page to share that sort of info but its very new so probably not much help to you right now !

Speed and flat water only come from steady wind in 'off shore' conditions - like Sandy Pt in a SW , and Marlo in an easterly. Apparently there are is a flat water spot at lakes Entrance but you need a boat to get there ! Same goes for a host of spots around south Gippsland (Port Albert etc) - have a look at Google earth and drool !!!! Strangely Lake Glenmaggie near Maffra in an easterly is apparently a flat water kite spot and fresh water - who would have thought - but Ive never had a go there - just passing on the info from a Mate !!

To other posters here in Gippsland get on to the facebook "Gippsland Kiteboarders' page and share your photos and experiences !!
