just throwin this out there, rowdy is probably one of the better riders ive seen around aus and ive seen him try tricks that would be pretty sick to see in kiting.

IMO Sir Rowdy is just that>>> a 6 foot 3 overtly rowdy claimer, of skateboard clad capable of claiming mutilple tricks in single move - who thinks style is wearing his pants below is underwear. In my day we had no choice, our pants would fall down to below our naked skinny little arses because we had no food and no money to buy a belt. If ppl told me then that I was stylyn I would have flat out punched em in the kisser!
I do like a bit of drama within the ranks tho, makes for an entertaining evening instead of playing bingo with all them old flabby chicks in my home. Why with their boobs hanging lower than my left nut, I would def much rather read this forum!
I agree with sid.
Now back to topic. My most recent insight in to style vs difficulty is this.....we all want to be the greatest, esp. in youth. Now you can be great with both difficulty and style, it is putting the two together which makes for a good show ie. gets respect.
My hypothosis is that large riders like Rowdy are more in to style while shorter riders are about difficulty of move. The little guys are handicapped because they just can't style while the big guys are at a physical disadvantage doing the difficult stuff. Note: a big person will always look better doing the same move as shorty...pros and cons to being big or small......keep it coming.
No way!!! a post with some sort of logic??? ban him!! haha
But what you said actually sounds pretty reasonable. Except thaat hadlow is actually pretty tall and so is phillip soven professional wakeboarder (the king of spin).
I would have actually thought that smaller people focus on style more because it comes so naturally to them
I think that size plays into it but in a different way, heres my theorys.
If you are small (short) you have to try alot less to make something look stylish, it just happens, your limbs naturally stay closer to your body , you are closer to the board for balance and grabs and you have to use less strength to move or pull yourself around or closer to the handle because you have a smaller distance to travel.
If you are tall you have to consiously think alot more about what you are doing and whether your limbs are flailing about through the air hahaha.
Perfect example is jamie o'brien, he manages to keep his size under wraps really well, he surfs super good and has a sick style all while being 6'4ft+.....![]()
i think its to do with the girth lol.
skinnier people with long arms pass easier but struggle to get good style as they dont have the weight to throw them into tricks.
bulkier people look more styley but struggle technically as they have that bit extra to reach around haha
it maybe looks lame to some as its in slow motion. if sped up i doubt there would be guys claiming lameness of vid.
maybe AH is just having a bit of fun an chilling a bit not taking himself as serious as half of you numbskulls![]()

Who really gives a schit
From the comments on the website, seems to be from Mark Shinn
"Maybe someone can post the definition on a KGB that shows this is NOT it. I never saw anything that said a KGB had to be inverted…. What’s most impressive is that to make the pass you have to take your back hand off the bar first… something that would stop the kite from completing the loop….. hmmmm, nice going Aaron, I would not want to be the first to try that to see if it might work!"
Looked pretty sick to me, would have been nice to see the kite rotation as well though, that might shut a few of the knockers up.
Cya and
Goodwinds
Steve
Sorry- just picked myself up of the floor, wiped the tears out of my eyes...
Sorry Style master, but I would rather watch an unstyley 30ft KL grabbed KGB anyday than that ****!!
well that pete rose at the end was sweet. you looked a bit under powered, i didnt see any moby dicks
less talk more action...
style is that what metros think they have wearing pink shirts?
uncle sid calls it steez i think- which is a combination of riding hard, powered and not looking like a V8 supercar in a 90 degree corner...
Aron got steez regardless what he does!
that vid was slop just like the onshore slop in broulee. cant believe i wasted my time watching that filth
there's no way that was rowdy his kite was at lunch and the guy had about as much style ricky martin and he was wave riding on a twin tip hooked in cant be rowdy..................oh wait thats a catapult kite catapult kite+rider= rowdy, dam it.
sick vid tho just showed alex sanz and he got a boner

p.s. can tack.
p.p.s. sucked in for watching that.
Nice trick wish i could do it. Sound like lots of people who think they are good baggin out some one who is.
Just to clarify no one said they were good or better than anyone else, and no one said Aaron wasn't good ethier.... He clearly is the king of spin.
king of spin? spin to win!!
haha yes once again no1 said hadlows crap, nor did anyone claim they wer good.
hadlow has style in most of his tricks, just not doucheloop grab kgbs.
keep on topic here children you are making alot of assumptions here.
hahaha. Well i mean sure you get your usual level of bull**** in every thread, but this thread just went absolutley nuts. People including myself start to get confused about who and what we are trying to stir up in the end.![]()
