This what kitesurfing is all about. sexist or what? he actually grabs the girls breasts and there are young children watching.

it's only a very short clip I don't think we need to see what else happened

got some real beauties coming up. I believe the sport should be seen in it's true colors.

the kitesurfing clips I have of Byron will really show who got the ban imposed. I have so much video, so many cool stories and like anything I do it's always controversial. So stay tuned....

The thing is I'm not doing it just filming, so it must be my fault???

Like to know what made me the bad guy on sea breeze I feel flattered that you spend so much time talking about me. Trust me I don't even know who any of you are and don't really care.

I have been a big part of kitesurfing over the years and I'm going to be here for a lot longer, so get used to me and my video clips. Sit back and enjoy the new ride.

not a kiteboarding vid but funny would have been great to be there to see what else went down. most new computer games have more nudity than that.

Kiteboarding is ment to be fun so keep on enjoying it

Don't want to read a post of a dude with a flexifoil hanging from the powerlines, but from what I read it's coming

Alex, you must ask yourself... Whose responsibility was it to look after those children and protect them at such an event if what you said occurred. Obviously at the time of the day/ night that it was, it was not children/ play time; it was adult time, so I would place the blame on the parents.

Otherwise, maybe contact the organizers of Mambo about their portrayal to the general public, rather than shun them on here where they don't have the opportunity to reply.

Actually Alex,

what was really offensive was you beach jumping right in front of the viewing deck at Ford oval in your short shorts with your beans and frank hangin out for all to see, whilst you beach jumped over kids in the afternoon. Now that was really offensive and unnecessary

Pretty typical of your sort of behaviour though. Countless other "look at me" stunts at Dolls, St Kilda, Noosa and many others that I have witnessed . I'm sure every other person that has seen you can add their own stories of woe.

It is a pity, because you really do have some great footage that is worth something of the old times, like the one about one of the first AKSA meetings which I chaired (cant believe I used to smoke ). That stuff is gold. It was the founders of the entire East coast kitesurfing industry at that meeting .

You just go and spoil it all by being a tool! You would gain some cred and respect if you didn't have to be the centre of attention all the time and just chilled it down a couple of hundred percent.

Good winds,

It was my wife who was groped most that night and she wasn't complaining about it and nor did I. It was all in good fun. I don't remeber any of the girls, kids, or parents freaking out.

Craigs' in your face, and at times, inappropriate humour, borders on the unacceptable at times and everyone knows it and ACCEPTS it, or they dont go to preso night. That was one of the best and funniest Preso's of all time at Mambo and cred where it was due to Craig and the boys from MSC. Live on Mambo!

Hey Alex it doesnt matter how much you try to highlight other peoples inappropriate behaviour you will always win hands down, you have so much bad behaviour credit up your sleeve that you are untouchable. What happens off the beach doesnt rate compared to what happens on the beach when it comes to kiting, because thats where collateral damage control is important as that determines the kiting communities reputation,I only saw you some weeks ago kite within a meter of a mother and baby sitting in the shallow water just near the beach,(not once but a few times)and when a coulple of guys tried to tune you about it and call you in you kited up the beach a bit dropped your gear in a hurry and bolted up the beach and ran away, with those sort of antics i think the spotlight remains on you.
By the way the insane stuff ive seen you do on the beach'es @ Byron is def the reason why kiting is on its way to being banned. There were more complaints to council re: your antics than any other incidents.
Dont think i'd be to flattered being recognised as kitings biggest havoc creator.

Those 2 paragraphs pretty much sum up Alex and his behaviour-amazing how is know up and down the whole East Coast. I guess that's what it is all about.....

It may be time to start a Seabreeze Trust Fund for Alex-send him in for some serious psychiatric assistance-One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and all that-nurse ratchet would soon sort him out.......

I met Alex when I was travelling past, nice guy, even lent me his kites to try. Not sure what all the fuss is about. I heard stories about local shops trying to kick him out. Sad.

Alex is a good guy.

Council local law officers moved him on from Caloundra last summer. He was skateboard kiting on the footpaths, camping in the carpark and hijacking lessons on the local beach.

Funny how some people rub people up the wrong way no matter where they go!

Wait for karma!

oh Aaron. you simply must get to know him and kiting a little better. He's shameless self promotion and consistently unsafe kiting practices combined with his arrogant attitude are damaging to the sport and clearly linked to (and pretty much solely responsible for) bans around my area.

I got no links to any shops or products at all.

I myself tried to overlook his cocky nature when I first met him and demoed one of his trainer kites. I was impressed by his enthusiasm and his years of experience. I knew nothing about kiting before meeting him except that I wanted to try it...He fed me his thoughts on the sport as facts and I had no reason to disbelieve. I left considering his suggestion of buying one of his 4m foils (no depower, not really that similar to most kite surfing kites at all) and one of his landboards and heading to shopping centre rooftop car parks to practice as he suggested. But decide that he was only the first guy i talked to and that i really wanted to kite surf not do the other crap even though he said that only the elite wake boarders and surfers with kite flying experience can do it and that i would need to buy his crap first.

Luckily my research resulted in me getting 2 Proper kitesurfing lesson. I learned/ soon realised that he's for the best part, full of it. Looking back now I realise how lucky we were to get land kiting banned at Kirra and kiting banned altogether on some beaches at Byron. Even though they are both super awesome spots. Lucky that is that it happened before he hurt anyone or others followed his lead and hurt people. The guy is dangerous. (it is possible that he means well BUT) He's out of touch with what it safe and respectable kiting practice. He's been everywhere and thinks he knows everything. Thinking you know everything is always dangerous especially when combined with behaviours that place yourself and others at risk.

I want kitesurfing allowed and landboarding allowed and Alex to wake up to himself or get his gear and business licence taken off him. Last time I saw him he was completely unsafe.

**** Smeg, thats some bad advice. Power kiting ontop of shopping center rooftops, that aint funny, just bloody mental. See where you were coming from now.
cheers Buddy

Best Austin Powers impersonation ever, next Mambo perhaps someone should do the Alex, not sure how that would go down with the crowd though, probably more groping but followed by a kick to the balls. Kiting though from the second story beer garden with frank and beans showing, don't think I'll be there for that one. ha

i guess with an ego the size he carries around it would be hard for common sense to get a look in.

oh yeah and if Alex is trying to highlight the sexist attitude on the mambo vid how about i mention a comment he made to me one day after i confronted him re; his behaviour....he said most women have a problem with him because they want him but dont know how to tell him and that was my problem, ..not exact words but along those lines, i was shocked and diving for a bucket!! if that isnt sexist dont know what is

That video was hardly damning evidence. It looks to me like "Austin" was just making a "groping" gesture in front of the line of girls but didn't actually touch them.

This Alex bloke seems to enjoy attention, whether it is positive or not. Like one of those annoying kids at school. Pretty sad for a 45 year old.
