I have a few old boards around the house and I'm thinking of making one into a Foil board.

I remember a post on here ages ago about a site in Dubai that made foil boards and you could by the defective masts for a fraction of the price, but I can't find it using the search option, can anyone help?

Does anyone else have any good sites or ideas of where I can buy a few cheap parts?

Also is it worth using a Skateboard deck to make a wing or should I just buy a cheap one (performance wise)?

That's the thread from my buddy Luc who's still making a bunch of homemade foils:

He's getting his masts from there. He told me he's ordering a few at the time so it's cheaper with shipping.

Lately he's been making new wings using old Race fins put together and I must say they work pretty well, the foils are fast and stable. You'll never get the performance of a high-end carbon foil, but for recreational foiling it does the trick pretty well.

I hope you have the right tools and skills, there's a lot of trial and error involved
