Hello,

I have heard that some shops/people around Australia are beginning to make home made indestructible leashes.
I am in great need of an:
extremely strong leash that doesn't stretch,
which is longer than production leashes. Easilly fits around a midrift twice.

Please if anyone is in the know about people who make their own indestructable leashes, PM me.

Thanks very much.

You can't be serious.
If it didn't stretch, and you release the kite, leaving you connected by this unstretchable leash. It is going to pull dam hard in one sudden jolt on your body.
It can whip you round pretty quick with a fairly stretchy leash. (We'll this is what I've found).
If you want one, dynema rope will do the trick. Or a chain....

Hey kideboarding.
You need a leash with elastic.
If its too long without elastic it will catch under your board.

I was making a few leashes with a 2000kg breaking strain a couple of years ago. I believe they are still going strong.
Will I make more? Unfortunately the Manufacturers insurance would mean I would have to sell thousands to cover the costs.
Unfortunately I think you will have to make your own or prey for a kite company to produce a better one.........

Hey Dude

Not sure if you genuinly want info as you have only posted one post, but I have been making my own for about four years and I am still on my original, the rest I make for friends.

Cost about $50 with no safety release, usually put it on my harness so that it is in same place all the time.

PM if you interested

why you would want one I don't know, but a bit of 10mm rope would do the job! just tie one end to your nads and the other to your board. you'll know when you loose it

In actual fact I have been using a Stretched out Cabrinha leash for quite some time now. And when I do go onto suicide with it twice around me, it does not hurt at all. I guess you wouldn't know until it happens to you aye??????

you have described a rope with shackles on the end of it
try it...
btw, a normal leash should go around your midrift (sic) twice fairly easily unless you are fat

your not trying hard enough... i was playing on the fact that he didnt say anything about wrapping the bar around twice; just that his leash was long enough to go around his midriff twice. my normal one could probs make 3 times around but then you have a bar stuck behind your back in real life
