Hey downwind kitesurfers!

Hope your season is starting out well, it was slow here in Perth but next week looks like it's gonna be cranking!

I want to let you know about a service that runs here in Perth called 'The Upwinder'. It's a space for kiters to meet each other, then all get transported to upwind locations so they can kite back downwind. It runs every windy weekday at the same time. If you are planning on visiting Perth and like downwinders, jump on board! We had a few Vicos join us last season and would be stoked to meet more east coasters this season!

Share the stoke,
The Upwinder

Here's our trailer fully loaded. We can take 11 people currently. Hopefully 12 soon, just gotta source another seat....

Cheers, hadn't heard of this service before.
Does it operate on the east coast?

Not yet ;-)
If someone wants to start it up there, go for it, get in touch with me any I can give you tips. But basically, it doesn't make any money, is a lot of work, but its super fun!

I went on a lot of downwinders last season with Joe and his upwinder van, It really made the season for me, my mates who I usually kite with were all working different schedules and I couldn't get anyone together to do downwinders but when i heard about the upwinder i got on it and was doing downwinders almost every free day I had which turned it from an average season to an epic one, We even did a lancelin to wedge island downwinder a couple weeks ago which was simply amazing

Its a great "share the stoke" sort of vibe on the bus and the pre session and after session banter definitely adds to the fun.
