Lost my Yellow Temavento foil board and Spotz 2 foil at Apple cross tonight

It just sailed off into the dusk not to be seen again - maybe saw a boat stop and pick it up?

Pretty rare custom Temavento foil board and Spotz 2 foil with larger swept back rear race wing - if you see it floating about looking for a new home or spot it for sale on line could you let me know

Cheers

... just wondering, how the hell does a yellow Temavento foil board just sail off?? Is this a joke that someone just borrowed it or the tide came up and it floated away????? Just wondering is all!

cheers,

Robbie

Foils just motor off if you don't hold on to them faster than you can swim

That's terrible, it's pretty unique kit so someone ought to notice if it turns up. Keep checking gumtree. Everyone reading this should walk out & write your contact info & "$REWARD" on your gear right now..

Must remember to leash myself to my board when facing a prolonged relaunch and/or swim in. I lost my board twice on Sunday in exactly this situation. Luckily the guys grabbed it as it washed ashore each time.

foils even if stuff all wind can float downwind very VERY quickly . it was the first thing that scared the crap when crashing and watching the foil just motor off downwind

Temavento board and foil for sale $500 and a bucket of KFC not to used in WA especially on the river. You might come across a very angry individual claiming its his board lol. Don't believe him he is just jealous. Glad you got your gear back Johno.

Does anyone know why that is? Of course its the wind catching the straps but why would the foil cause more efficient glide if the board is still dragging in the water?

Combination of chop and Wind. Chop raises the board out of the water, and catches some wind below... with the help of wind and the lift generated by the foil, it glides forward, and damn fast!! Board now already at speed as the next chop lifts it back up again... so it keeps getting quicker & quicker.
Stronger the wind and bigger the chop/waves, the faster it motors downwind.

Thanks all!

I won't lie, the Trema Vento is an absolute beaut and it was sad seeing it go. The case of little creatures certainly helped though.

See you out there JohnnoKeys.
