Hey Killer,
i've done a bit of windsurfing there years ago...it gets bloody windy...def. take the kite,it has a huge lagoon for great flat water, and its fringed by waves...need a buddy if you want to take on the waves though...they are a long way out...google earth it and have a look...the lagoon faces us...I've only sailed it on s/easters...feb. will more likely be n/easters,beach is very narrow, you will probably have to water start, but it's definately a go...has to be one of the most beutifull islands on earth, enjoy.

Definitely can. It is great on the lagoon when the wind is right.

I went last Jan, did not take the kite and regretted it. It was only good on 1.5 out of 8 days - so wind guarantee is probably pretty low. BUT it sure looked great fun for the couple of kiters out when it was on.

Weight limitations on flights means you need careful planning to get gear there. Saw one guy with his kite (no bar) as hand luggage with board and bar as check in luggage - worked for him. Other option is send it on ahead by boat - but then you are without gear before and after your trip.

Hope that helps

Matt
