Hi everyone, I have recently Bought an 11m Fuel, it has the 17inch bar with i think 20m lines, just wanted to know if i bought the 20inch bar with longer lines if it would loop easier as it seems to have very slow response at the moment, which i know is good for unhooking. Wanting to know as i can do half decent backroll kiteloops on my 8 vegas but the fuel seems to be hard to get the loop happening quick enough, can do f16s easier than hooked in ones at the moment. Still going through kites like jocks trying to find the one that suits me best. thanks
My take, the 11 fuel isn't a such a beast compared to the 9m and 7m.
I also was using a 17 inch bar for 6months on my 11m. After changing to the 20 inch bar- I noticed an instant improvement in the performance in the kite.
Keep in mind that if your using an 11m to power loop, its probably not that windy so save it for your 7m days.
Hope that helps
Yes,I use my 20/23m bar on both my 11 & 9m. Found the 9 didn't perform aswell as it does with the 20inch bar, being a heavier
rider.
Thanks for the replys. Yes it's not really windy when I'm on it usually 15-20, usually use my 8 Vegas whenever I can, would like to have a single brand quiver but unsure weather to stick with fuel or Vegas I like both kites for different reasons.
You're better off saving anything above a 9 for wakestyle and unhooked loops. I much prefer doing unhooked kiteloop passes on 11m + kites because the kite doesn't over loop in the window (it goes around, pings up to 12 and stays there). If the wind is reasonably strong, a small bar and 20m lines are so sick on any 11 as I find you get a little more slack than with the longer lines. As for the Vegas/Fuel debate I personally prefer the Fuel as I find the Vegas, especially in the small sizes to be twitchy (feels smaller than it is) and I also can edge them out too easily. They are good for smaller guys or someone who does quick cuts to pop. I ride cable a lot so prefer a slightly more progressive, longer edge into my pop. It's all preference though.
