Hi Guys
I have just recently discovered a crack /several cracks across the back foot end of my 2013 Jaime Pro....have spoken to dealer and they have contacted Norths distributor who, to their credit is willing to offer me a good discount on a 2014 Jaime Pro to replace it...
Although i like the way the 2013 rides and handles and has been a great board and i am now thinking of something different. I am only into old school boosting and loops etc and really only hooked in but can sometimes be pretty aggressive with my freeriding and stupid landings etc....
Keen to try either Crazy Fly or Shinn...... was thinking either the 2014 Crazyfly Pro Tour or 2014 Shinn Monk or Ultrasonic. Around 88kgs currently riding 136 x 41....
Any advice ??
cheers

horses for courses, ive owned a few norths and loved them until I rode the shinns, in our conditions they are perfect, also rode the raptor pros ( crazyfly) and the laluz and infra by (xenon), all sweet boards one thing though the shinns have a 2 year gaurentee, ive been thrashing my original monk for years with no sign of wear, conditions dictate these boards though, also kite type is important matched with the board, if you ride in decent winds with chop these boards are worth a trial, what conditions do you ride in , open ocean ,flat water, onshore waves, etc etc

Can't beat the nobile nhp, 3 year warranty which they back every time. One bloke here broke a 3 north boards in a couple months after replacing two they just gave him his money back and said bye bye. Nhp is the best board I could find and I tried many

Best way is to demo the boards and see if they suit you. Sent you a PM.

Hey cauncy I am probably looking for the board to be mostly for flat to small choppy conditions and living on the Sunshine Coast need it to kind of be an allrounder...mostly kite river mouth to ocean . I like the way the Jaime handles the chop and speed which is why i was thinking Monk . At the moment riding 12m Park and 9m Rebel.

Yeh make sure you demo some boards. The shinn has its own unique feel.

Plenty of awesome TTs out there.

Personally I'd try the raptor pro ltd, the monk and the Dundee, the latest laluz and something like the axis vanguard, given your riding conditions and kites you have. But there are plenty of other good ones as well, take your time.

Hey Rob, why dont you use one of your own boards (Naish). First of all I commend you for not coming on seabreeze and bagging out a company publicly.

How far out of warranty is the board???? Changes to Australian Consumer Law actually give you a better case than you may have realized. Just because North gives you a 1 year warranty, it doesnt mean you have no right to challenge this for a "discount". Any distrubutor who sells stuff in Australia must adhere to "the product must be free from defects, otherwise a repair, replacement, or refund must be given in due course and that is the option of the purchaser", or something along those lines.

I have seen so many Jamie Pro's crack or break in the exact same spot from 2009 onwards and one of them was mine. I wonder how many other seabreezers have had the same problem. I guess it would be a lot. So is this board designed for its intended use, cracking after just over 1 year of riding, in Qld winds????? I expect more from a board as any kitesurfer would.

Nobile, Shinn and Xenon from my experience being an ex-shop guy were faultless in their aftersales service. Obviously you are the original purchaser as they have agreed to give you a discount. Its easy, state your case to the dudes in your state and they follow it up, no real legwork required.

terryzarmoff's mate is now 2 on record. Any one else want to say their board delaninated, cracked, or self destructed? It would help Rob's case.
