Hi,

I am new to kiteboarding and am looking for fellow kiteboarders around Yeppoon and Emu Park on the Queensland Capricorn Coast to meet on the beach.

Is there anyone in the area on Seabreeze? I have checked the web camera at KBSC so I know there are some around when I am at work

Cheers

My old boy lives there mate, I do take my gear when I go to visit, but I'm not there often at all. But if you wanted to get together for a kite next time I'm around I'd definately be up for that mate.

Hey Rock, there are a few of us floating around. If there is any wind, you'll usually see us at Farmborough beach. One of the boys who does lessons is often down at Emu Park. Just keep an eye out at Farmborough. If this wind sticks in I'll be there most of this week, just come up and say g'day (flying either a Rev or Airush).

Cheers.

G'day Rock, I used to live up there in yeppoon but now i'm down in Sydney. I go up there a fair bit for holidays to catch up with my mates. Will let you know when i'm next up that way.

For SE winds, Farnborough, Main, Mulambin and Kinka Beaches are the go. For NE winds, Farnborough and Main are ideal. I prefer to go to Emu Park on Easterlys. CQ Kiter and I often kite together with a couple of other regulars. Give us a yell when you're in the area, I'll be more than happy to show you the spots. Just PM me for my contact info.

Other spots such as Sandy Point and The Big Dune are a few Ks North of Yeppoon and it's preferable to have a 4wd for these places. Nine Mile Beach is a stunning location about 2 hours from town but to get there, you will need a decent 4wd.
