Heading to long island tommorrow and just got the thumbs up to throw in the kite gear. Talk about getting permission at the last minute .
Anyway, obviously weather permitting do i pack the gear or am i wasting my time taking it?
Leaving tommorrow morning and pretty keen to hear peoples opinions.

If you are just going to long island (Peppers ?). I wouldn't bother taking gear. If you are going to have access to a boat it may be worth taking as you can get to whithaven etc......
The eastern side of long island will probably get wind but there is no real beach etc just rocks, mud and mangroves .
Cocktails by the pool and conversation with the wife for your holiday
