I'm searching for a lightweight waist harness, mainly for travelling. Weight is usually not specified making it difficult to compare brands and versions.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a few harnesses in my garage and just did a quick comparison this is the lightest of my lot it is a 2012 model though. it not as comfortable for a long session as say my Neil Pryde but I skill use it quite a bit because it has my dyna bar on it.

Thanks Harry Potter,

1.6kg sounds light enough. Seems like 2012 was the last year for the Shadow model and their webpage doesn't have any weight info about the current products. I'm currently on a Mystic Warrior which has lasted me almost 7 years now, so it's due for an update.

I saw that Ion has a weight rating on their harnesses, but only as a comparison between the models. Spectre seems to be a possible choice. Anyone that owns a Spectre and can comment on the weight?

Weighed a few harnesses this morning.

The lightest by a bit was the ION Madtrixx at 1.3kg, followed by the Hummer and Naish Mission at 1.5.
All the others from ION and Mystic ranged from 1.6-2kg

Disclosure: work in a shop that sells ion

Had the spectre since they came out, it's not as light as Madrixx but it doesn't absorb any water or really get heavier when wet. Also you can run it with no t-sticks (same low level of support as madtrixx) with the green set (moderate support) or red set (very supportive).

I haven't used ion harnesses as I found them bulky and heavy, especially when wet, but this ticked all the boxes for me, comfortable without being bulky, and lightweight when wet, and dries out pretty quick!

Been our best seller this season
