Sat, 23/04 we did the first Race in 4-10knts
Not too many racers finished and the Race didn't count due to light wind rule.

Cam put together some footage from it.
Hate it or love this kite is wicked in very light winds.

Are you kidding
There's a hell of a lot of whitecaps out the back for 4-10 knot.

I was there on my 15m kite on 75 litre race board and at that time I had just come off water after 1 hour in 4 to 10 knots, as wind was dropping and my kite was struggling to fly and my board was struggling to get up on plane, if I put my kite at 45 degrees it was falling out of the sky. I watched Marvin just smash the coarse and I reckon it was at best 4 to 8 knots at that time. I watched and was amazed at the low wind power of the X19 spleen, it looked great flying and was turning quick for a big kite. . I don't use these kites and have no connection with Marvin.

He is a picture of me totally powered in 8 to 10 knots with my 15m and raceboard, I'm using the same gear as when Marvin was flogging me and the other racers. A jetski went past in back ground. Man that Spleen whips arse in super light winds

Not sure about the 4 knots but Def sub 10knot stuff Col
Some of the footage is taken a bit earlier or later when it was around 10-12

When I seen how well Marvin was going I remember thinking sh!t I hope they don't run the race in this cause I wont even be able to get started on my 14 and a 1.7 board

Every body on the beach as amazed at how well that thing was motoring along
If you look just near the end when Marvin falls off the two guys that go past are doging along, I think he could have laped everyone and half the fleet didn't finish due to lack of wind, And I was in the half that did finish

The earlier section of that clip has wind out the back, but near the end of the clip there is hardly any wind anywhere!

Maybe that can be a new kiting game, everyone starts riding round a predefined course and if you either put your behind or kite in the water you are out - last person standing wins... [}:)]
