How about i don't bring my surfboard and ride aimlessly across your flat section of water, (getting in your way), while you do your tricksy, upsidedownsy thing - and you don't bring your little TT and mow the lawn up and down where the waves are (and get in my way and spoil a good wave)? Deal?

Speaking as a twin tip rider. I dont give a ** where you ride your surf board as long as you don't short tack me, and I'll let you know what I think if you drop in on my wave just cos im on a twin.
How about you don't short tack your surfboard when lawn mowing on the flat water, and don't drop in on me cos im not on a surfboard, and we will get on just fine. Deal

Agreed. Even when in the waves on my TT, it shts me when TT riders or kooks on SBs go back and forth just in front of the impact take off zone on wave on system lining up. Get in the waves and obey the normal rules or get the Fck out of them altogether.

my missus only used to ride flat water. now she rides on the flat bit inside of waves, and inches further into the waves each run. i dont expect her to ride right through to the outside big ones, im just super stoked she is hitting the secondary inside break. while she understands the stated known rules, occasionally she gets a bit in the way, so i spend a few minutes on the beach after the session telling her the finer details of rights of way and the lines to expect a wave rider to be taking so that she gets better at anticipating their turns and keeping out of the way.

she rocks.

and she is keener each time to go to where the waves are.

sorry about that.

How about no!

How about you get out of my way when I'm boosting off the wave lips. Everybody knows the best place to boost is off the biggest pitching lip you can find.

Stop wasting waves by riding like a surfer. if you want to do that then ditch the kite get up at 6 am and ride with your surfing buddies!!!

hahahahaha!!!!!! ahhhhhhh..... for every view point there is an equal and opposite view.....

As long as every one gets a turn at what they enjoy then its all good. share and share alike.

Remember that he who grins the most wins,,,,,, and happiness is a state of mind. You can choose to let it go and focus on the fun or you can let the irritation spread like a cancer and ruin your day.

I know what I choose.

Agreed. Have fun. Must admit having got into the sport when most hadn't even heard of it, I have had to really adjust over the past 5 years and accept more numbers in the water. I used to get so irritated, and the only one suffering was me. Just lately I've really just chilled and funny enough have actually enjoyed watching other crew (including good windsurfers) do their thing. The angst lied totally within me not what others were doing. And funny enough now I'm much more chill less issue seem to arise, funny that....

Except one time out at graveyards (exmouth) this year when a bunch of riders (on rally's but that's neither here nor there) just blatantly ignored all the rules that keep us safe so far off shore. Blatant disrespect for all those on the water. Did I Chuck a hissy fit when I came in hey juice rider. I'm not a that fussed as long as their is no danger for those in the water, and in this case there behaviour was downright dangerous. Several others experienced this to...that's not on and won't be tolerated. Be warned.

Yeah ok - you're right. I shouldn't have, but i couldn't resist trolling on a boring, offshore, flat, day. "he who grins most wins" - have to agree to that. (BTW - surfed all along New Plymouth and surfers highway - awesome spots.)
