Anybody know where (or if) there are any lessons available in Exmouth this time of the year (Scotty's website says no lessons available at the moment)?

I think that's because Emma is about to have a baby, but give him a call.

im up at the weekend and dont mind spending a few hrs giving you the rundown, but im there to kite and getting my full attention may be a problem, tom a pommy lad is a qualified instructor iko i think and is living at exmouth, goes under tgcp, top lad and a very decent rider,

C'mon Cauncy - offering a few hrs of rundown for a newb is NOT the G.O.
Great stuff (& applaud you) for anyone who's covered all the basics 1st but please dont go offering newbs 1/2 arsed lessons to get them started.
You obvioulsy spend too much time in uncrowded conditions.
Gotta remember that most kiters are going to end up on suburban beaches sooner or later.

Try giving a pm to cbulotta he'll be up there around end of Sept, runs the kiteschool for AKS. might be it if his jurisdiction or he could be fairly busy also but worth a shot.

I hope we don't have to wait another week or two in carnarvon (Carnarvon is starting to grow on me though)but I hear only 5% of baby's arrive on the due date.
Puppet I agree but I am sure tgpc could run a proper lesson just like cbulotta but not having all the permits for here they would be crazy doing it anyway.
Sorry I can't help you Tony sounds like there are a few enjoying it while I am away (there hasn't been enough wind down here so far by the way).
And Rob just checked out the blowholes today are you driving up again? Talk about blowins you are the permanent blowin aren't you?

yeah Carnarvon is awesome I race motocross a few times a year up there bikes nearly disappeared off the back of the ute after a 5min servo stop at least you can take your kiting gear in the room with you and not get in trouble for leaving fuel and oil smells in the room

I'll be at Osprey for a while and then Pilgrammuna.
Have to say I have stayed for a couple of weeks every year at Carnarvon. Love the wind and beaches there. Never had a problem but then I'm in the van park most nights. I will be there for about 9 days after Exmouth as well as on the way up. Dwyers Leap and Pelican Point are great kite beaches and the local and visiting kiters are very friendly.

Yeh man not leaving till Sunday, gotta stop off at Carnarvon (albeit on one of the out skirting caravan parks) because of the three handbrakes with me. We had a fight the other day when I swapped a 5 hour north wester session over a brother in laws birthday in rolleystone. She still hasnt learnt im afraid.

Had the trigger to dump the handbrakes but just couldn't activate the mean gene strong enough. Damn.

Might be visiting ya fellas around the cape for a few brewskis I reckon. Wish I was up there this week, damn how good does it look!!
