Mabe we should all put in $20.00 and go and buy an old ****ty kite. After repeated attempts to ask these sort of guys to move on, pump it up, put on your best out of control bogsquat and ride into them, downloop the kamakaze kite to get it nice and tangled and pull the safety if it has one. Hey presto problem solved!

Anyone riding that beach that is not advanced level should be over the other side at Beach 1. Pretty basic stuff! That's the local rules, well within your rights to have a word I reckon.

The sign should say- "If you need to read a sign to know where you should/shouldn't kite -Then F#ck off"

If you own a kite you should know that you shouldn't kite where its offshore- lesson number one. It's like having a sign to say don't jump off this cliff. The type of people that kite in stupid spots are not sign readers...

It's a bit different say at melville where there are bouys etc and complex rules. I wouldn't say that there's anything other than common sense needed at woodies..

You missed my original point, the cement works is an excluded zone which i brought to thier attention and they listened

The problem is you cant teach common sense

You shouldn't kite where it is offshore? Isn't that the point of Beach 3?

When I first went to Perth I went to kitebeaches and looked up the spots. That is how I worked out where to go. (In conjunction with the WAKSA site) There is a great run down on what each beach is about.

beach 1 is for beginners
beach 2 for intermediates and accessing the downwind side.
beach 3 for advanced/freestyle.

Ok, here is the thing - they speak Portuguese. How would you know they are euros?

Brazilians maybe?

There are more and more of them (and nothing wrong with this)!

Why would anyone that isn't a complete noob that has zero idea want to kite at the cement works? Do I need to put up signs in my street to tell people not to kite there?

I think its a poor excuse for laziness. Before I travelled to each country I've been to I took the time to find out where I was and wasn't allowed to kite. If you can't be bothered to find out about the place you are going to, you shouldn't be boarding a plane.

No he said he is a local and he has a right to teach here. I told him this is not the point. You do not teach on an offshore beach without boat. It is also a bad example for all this beginners who see that someone is teaching on this beach so therefore it is save. Totally stupid.

It is actually a local that is teaching on beach 3. He also has a van advertising lessons on his car. Maybe we should let his tyres down.

What make of van/colour & what was the name of his 'school' or business???

If this f'wit is making such fundamental fk up's at Woodies, I'm damn sure I don't want him at my local...name & shame him here, now...well, at least the colour of his van so we know how to spot him....

Thanks Laurie.

I thought I would copy and past my contibution from 2004, after reading it again it sounded like writen yesterday, sort of pointless to keep on writing anything new realy.

Quote myself 2004:
I agree, theese tourists can be a pain in the ass, just look at other popular spots for windsurfing, they are all virtually owned by the tourists,eg lancelin, corros etc. Councils are not goingto help you out here, because they can see the dollars rolling from this new and exiting sport soon, and they dont give a sh.. how hot you think you are, and I was here first, I dont like euros (the roo?)and so forth.....
We will have to learn to live with it, buy a 4wd and sail those spots where the ignorants cant follow,
Or...... beef up, boost harder up wind and make some room for yourself
,this might end tragicaly for someone involved, or all of us.

Ive got no real answers have I ??????
