Congratulations to Ash, Eric and Crew at Lennox for the great event. Sundays wind ended up blowing hard and was good to see all the current range of kites, especially the 5s and 7s.
Excellent to see the top level riders and see the levels our sport is reaching. I think the waves were better earlier on the fuller tide but was some terrific riding regardless. The wind really blew late afternoon and Lennox Beach looked a treat with all the kites.
The pig on the spit, the band, and lots of other great little ideas made the event. Had a great weekend and will be back again next year.
Congratulations to all the winners

Yep! Well done to the organisers, great to have a live band and all enjoyed the copious amount of drinks and food.

I know Paul J won the Opens 2/Mike Walker 3/Shaun 'Happy'

In the Womens, 1/ Marine 'Frenchie' Sudre 2/Michelle 'Chicken legs 3/Angie Van Hoof.

I hope I got it right???

And remember in comps there are no losers (except the 50 year ol ugly wench in hot pants dancing in front of the band). But the next day Steve Walker reckons she was pretty clean tho!!!

Not very cool for the national mag to support mockery of a major event!

far out, just had the photos on the camera and put it up to play with a few people, wouldnt call it mockery. ANyway, well done to paully, marine, the johnsons and of course Ash.
i think paully might have one the event wth and without straps now so obviously it doesnt make that much difference to him, although he might have struggled with the strength of the wind on sunday arvo

Thanks to the organisers...a great event and for my first ever comp I was really impressed. Was great to catch up with lots of people I haven't seen in a while and meet some new kiting friends.

For me it was fabulous to see 7 girls entered, 3 of which have never competed before! Lets hope for even more next year and I'll be sure to get some practise in so I don't spend as long under the water than on it during the heats!!!

As for the girl in hotpants....Stevo, Marti, Mick & Cheena will all take away some special moments with her haha!!

Another thankx to ash, eric, susi and emma for all the great effort you guys did all weekend. Also thankx to all the local crew and to everyone that helped out and sponsored the event.
It was prob one of the best run events i've ever been to. How good was the wind on the sunday!! Loved it.

I had a great time and it was great catching up with everyone. Great to see some new female faces entering the comps, maybe next time we will have a full draw.

See you all at mambo in few weeks.
