I realise everyone needs to learn at some stage, but why do certain kite instructors like to have learners straight out from the main launch/beach where people want to turn etc. they should be a few hundred metres down the beach. there was one instructor/learner/obstacle right out in front yesterday arvo pissing everyone off.
I learnt at woodies last season. I am certain I impeded many people off from the launch area all the way down the eastern rock wall :)
Learners are pretty much going to hugging the shoreline in the southerlies and they are going to want the longest run possible, close to the main parking and where te most beach space is (the Main launch area).
Since I have been up and riding I just go further out well away from the beach and have plenty of space . I suppose the shallow water closest to shore has little waves standing up which can make the water smoother in patches.
Maybe just talk to them or change your tack a bit to suit ?
Let's hope we get a good windy end to the summer doctor !
when did the teaching ban at woodies stop?
I believe three kite schools have permits granted by the Cockburn Council.
