Pretty new to the kite scene but finally got my sh!t together and I want to start launching from my boat. Are there any videos of how you guys prepare your kite & lines for a boat launch. I've watched some youtube vid's on launching but nothing on line prep.

There is a vid at this link that demonstrates launching from a boat.

its simply a water launch ?? it cant be that hard??
Drift launching scares the crap out of me because if the lines have been hooked up wrong - then crapola!!
So seriously what is the technique for a drift launch - how to attach kite lines from a boat launch that works 100% of the time?Sandyscotts post could be the answer I needed .....

I didn't watch all those videos so it might be in there but I have used two techniques to ensure the lines are attached correctly

1 - set up on land, leave lines attached to kite, deflate and pack up. Then when you pump up its all attached already in the correct way.

2 - lay lines out on land, get the 4 lines in order on the ground, get a stick or pvc about 50cm long with 4 rubber bands wrapped around it spaced out. Then take your line ends, put them in the rubber bands in order then roll up your lines on your bar with the ends attached in order to your stick. You then can attach your lines to your kite on the boat and ensure they are still in order.

I hope this kinda makes sense.
