Hi Peeps,

A mate of mine has finished off his first feature length fillum. Last Paradise is a story about adventure sports in the last 45 years, all shot on Clives movie cameras since his early teens. The footage is in most instances breathtaking and follows an environmental theme of change throughout the course of the film.

Sports are many and various: First snowboarding, windsurfing, kiting, bungee jumping, skiing and early wakeboarding/skurfing, and so much more....... it's about a bunch of crazies living life to the max! Shot all over the world incl Aust. Bali, NZ and more.

When it comes to Australia, I highly recommend going to see it. It opened at an extreme sports film festival in the USA and won accolades as being so unique and well shot.

4 years in the making, 1/2 million dollars in production costs and 45 years of filming to produce this little gem

Enjoy!

Looks awesome, and I reckon this generation of cotton wool society parents might just learn something from it too....

Nice, I had heard it went really well at the film festival.

I have just returned to Perth after three years in the Naki...pictures of the mountain make me miss the outdoors, surf, rivers and snow.

Have to get a copy if/when it comes out on DVD.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

I'm pretty sure Clive will bring his movie to Perth. He is very fond of WA and has been coming here every year since forever. He has a house in Cott where he keeps his stuff and his beat up old van and surf toys. There is some very old footage from Gnaraloo when it really was a well kept secret and it was harsh, and everything up to and including some recent footage we shot a few years ago. It's a visual timeline of water sports and adventure. So cool!

I'll give him a call tomorrow and see if I can find out something. I believe he is at his home in Taranaki. I've seen the unfinished full length movie and it really is excellent and totally absorbing. Tina and I sat and watched the whole thing without moving a muscle or saying a word, we were that engrossed!

I can't wait to see it on the big screen now it has been final edited and been through the professional film treatment.

Take pity on him though, he is a kiwi ....... and a poley!
