Filmmaker Chase Burns, in association with In The Loop Kiteboarding, is pleased to release
“Land of Lahara” across the country.
With an immaculate blend of stunning environments, consistently perfect kiting conditions, and some of the most talented riders that Australia has to offer, it#700;s a dynamic viewing experience. Through his camera lens Burns is able to capture the vibrancy, diversity and excitement of local village life and the thrills that travelling to such untouched lands brings.

Premiers:
05.02 Cairns Green Ant Cantina, 7pm
06.02 Townsville Dance North, 7pm (all ages)
07.02 Mackay Arsa Shop, 6pm (all ages)
10.02 Lizard Island Marlin Bar, 8pm
10.02 MELBOURNE Gershwin Room, Hotel Esplanade "espy", St kilda, 8pm ( all ages but must bring adult)
19.02 Perth ( TBA)
27.02 Port Moresby (TBA)

So - you can go all the way to Papua New Guinea to film but can't manage an Adelaide or Hobart premiere......thumbs down- I wont be buying.

I see you have 19.02 (TBA) listed for Perth, FYI most of the Perth kitesurfing community will be up the coast attending Kitestock on that weekend.

we wld love to do premiers everywhere but its hard to organize and make it happen and we did not have any rider from SA or Tassie on trip.
If you want to organize a premier in Adelaide, do it you got all support mate!

To all Perth/WA Crew!

WAKSA and Kitestock are happy to feature the movie. Cheers guys and thanx Bellz!


First screening will be @ Priory at 6:30pm
Then on big screen in the back bar on Thursday night. Be there early!

and if people arent sick of it or havent seen in WAKSA will screen it at intro to AGM in March or April.

Hit Bellz up for a copy during Kitestock.

We are still looking for other Cities and States to view film!

We will show a short teaser of "NQ Odysee" starring ANDY YATES. Amazing shots from all over NQ including Lizard Island. Andy has written a nice story about his NQ trip that will be published in the next Kiteworld mag issue ( 44).The story compliments the film.

the Andy Yates film teaser will most likely only be shown at the Melbourne premier of "Land of Lahara"! Try to make it on the night of the 10.02 if you down there for the Nationals!

We will chuck "NQ Odysee" teaser on Vimeo/YouTube/ Seabreeze a few days after..

Sorry for the aggressive nature of the original post- both spots Adelaide and Hobart have strong kiting communities that support things like this...shame to see none here, but hopefully you can contact the guy i sent the contact details for in a pm and we can have an adelaide premiere.....

thats ok loverboy, i can understand where you coming from but believe me it was hard enough to pull this whole project off and now the premiers werent easy to org either.

Dont get me wrong the edit is really slick and captures some atmosphere.

BUT how do you expect me to get amped on the teaser if you show me just one average kiteloop in 1:50 seconds?

Props on using Apparat for the audio though ;)

just for your info dudey the Espy is one of the best venues in Melbourne. I assume u havent been there.

Whats the deal with tickets, cost, etc?

hi Koma, sorry I forgot to mention Tickets $15 (at doorway to the Gershwin room)

18+ (If underage must have a adult with them.. plus no alcohol).

Party after the film...
