Lake near Canberra is filling up has anyone ever kited there before ?

13m 2 line slingshot in 2001

It's really salty for some reason, and the wind is fairly quirky. But why the hell not, it's there!

All the fences just under the surface would make for a nice surprise!

Yeah, it's pretty bloody shallow and there are quite a few things to hit. I was on a surfboard with straps bolted onto it, as was the style at the time, and couldn't jump...

One of the best places I've ever kited. The steadiest wind and smooth shallow water.
Highly recommend!
Especially if you make the effort to launch from the spit in the middle.

Barb wire fences dont chew legs off! Still safer then the beach!

Had a pretty rad session there today. Nice 30 knots and chest deep water. The wind was very smooth for an inland lake and there wasn't a fence to be seen. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

You need to get some pics of your sesh and put them up here, doesn't fill up very often, would be cool to see it.
